Share An Adventure – Bucket List Adventures in Oahu and Kauai

I met Tirzah and her husband Troy in college and thanks to Facebook, I’ve been able to keep up with their adventures since then. I love their passion for adventure and connecting with nature.

Troy is a photographer and his incredible images create instant wanderlust. Tirzah has an adventurous spirit and a heart of gold. After viewing pictures of their trip to Hawaii, I invited them to share about their bucket list adventures during their visit to the islands of Oahu and Kauai.

Create Your Own Summer Bucket List – Free Printables

Create your own summer bucket list

Do you ever notice how easy it is to think of a list of things you want to do over the summer …….and then……. how quickly summer flies by before you’ve crossed everything off your list?

It happens to us every summer. We usually get most, and add some along the way, but we’ve found that we have to be proactive with summer plans. If we have the opportunity to cross something off, we need to take it if we can.

Beach Summer Bucket List

I’ve got a few free printables to share that are a simple visual to help you set and cross off goals on your summer bucket list.

Summer Bucket List 10

I purchased two sand buckets from the Dollar Tree along with a few packs of clothespins. You can choose from colored ones or plain wooden ones for your summer activities. If you choose the wooden clothespins, you will have more room to write on. You can either write or use a label maker on the colored clothespins.

Summer Bucket List 12

You can print off this 3 x 5 Summer Bucket List Label

bucket_list_3x5When you complete an activity on your summer bucket list, place the clothespin inside the bucket.

Summer Bucket List 7

If you don’t want to use a sand bucket for your bucket list, you can print this Summer Bucket List Checklist.

I placed mine in a picture frame so that I could write ideas on the glass as we think of them.

Summer Bucket List 13

I hope you get to cross everything off your summer bucket list.

Summer Bucket List 2

You can find summer bucket list ideas to add to your list here.

Interview with the Geeky Explorers

Interview with Geeky Explorers

I discovered Geeky Explorers because of their amazing pictures on instagram. Their profile also mentioned their blog website which intrigued me even more because they sold everything to travel by RV across the country. I immediately knew that I wanted to interview them for the blog. Tricia and Keith graciously agreed to meet me at Coffee Emporium before they started the next leg of their journey. They were fascinating in person too. I always admire people who take the leap of faith to live their dreams.

Chick-fil-A Healthier Menu Items

Swimsuit season is just around the corner and all of this extended winter weather has affected my waistline. Especially, because I need to eat healthier. Time to start working on a healthier lifestyle and Chick-fil-A has some ways to help.

Chick-fil-A has a nutritional guide available online or in stores to help guide you in your meal selection process.

Did you know that Chick-fil-A has grilled chicken menu options?

Make sure you check out the new Chick-fil-A Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich, Nuggets, Improved Grilled Chicken Cool Wrap and Grilled Market Salad – much improved flavor.

Chick-fil-A Smoothies are less than 300 calories and you can add a cup of spinach or carrot to them!

I don’t love veggies and I added spinach to my pineapple mango smoothie and couldn’t taste the difference.

* The  Peach Milkshake will make it’s debut on April 14th.

Don’t forget to try their catering menu for your next event or meeting.

In February, I created two recipes using Chick-fil-A catering menu items. (Buffalo Chicken Wrap and Homemade Ice cream sandwiches) The process was really easy. I just ordered my items off of the menu and set up a time to pick them up. Chick-fil-A also offers delivery service as well.

The other Chick-fil-A ambassadors also made some great recipes.

Optimistic Mommy” made a Chicken Salad wrap using Chick-fil-A Chicken Salad  & Slow Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup using Chick-fil-A nuggets.

A Bird and a Bean” made Chicken Parmesan Skewers with Balsamic Mozzarella Fondue & Dark Chocolate & Carmel Fondue using Chick-fil-A catering foods.

Simply Sherryl” made Chicken Fajita Bites using Chick-fil-A nuggets & Dream Pie Bites using Chick-fil-A cookies

It’s Free at Last” made Chicken Breakfast Casserole Recipe using Chick-fil- A nuggets and a Tasty Fresh Fruit Pizza.

Make sure you join the text club to stay up to date on upcoming events and deals.

You can get more information from the Chick-fil-A website.

You can also connect with Chick-fil-A Houston Rd on twitter, pinterestinstagram and facebook.

So here is the start of the running tab. I reserve the right to add to the list as my curiosity continues to become aware of new places and experiences to try.

Some are way more ambitious than others, but I figured I might as well go with the quote:

“Shoot for the moon and if you miss you are still among the stars”

Travel wise I would love to go all over the world but I’m willing to start a little smaller. The list could really go on and on…….this is just scratching the surface . So I guess this is my start but I don’t ever want to stop adding.

Remember a “Goal is dream with a deadline.” Don’t let time get away from your dreams.

“If you want to do something bad enough, you will find a way, if not you find an excuse.”

What’s on your “shoot for the moon” list? What should I add to mine? Who wants to join me?
