I’ve always been really impressed with Cincinnati Parks. They do a great job of providing lots of outdoor recreation and programming to encourage people to enjoy the outdoors. I also love to discover parks that are unique. The Highfield Discovery Garden at Glenwood Gardens feels like a scene out of a children’s book imagined to life. The Highfield Discovery children’s garden is a gated feature at Glenwood Gardens park with a small additional fee that it is worth the price.

4 Adventures to Try at Fernwood Resort in the Winter

During our stay at Fernwood Resort, we tried enjoyed several outdoor winter adventures. The first adventure we tried was a dual race on the 1,000 ft long  Zip Racer Zipline. This was my friend’s first time ziplining and my first zipline in the snow. The hike up to the platform was very scenic and my friend really enjoyed her 1st zipline experience.

Why snowshoeing is not my favorite but it's good for me

This winter has been unseasonably warm so attempting to try snowshoeing has been hit and miss all season. I’ve been able to try snowshoeing a few times this winter when we have gotten snow.

Our family’s first time trying was at local Winterfest event.  We tried the types of snowshoes resembled wooden tennis rackets like you see pictures of  Eskimos using.
