Free Fun at the Cleveland Museum of Art

I was so excited that the Cleveland locals voted for us to visit the Cleveland Museum of Art during my media trip with Positively Cleveland. I absolutely LOVE art!  Cleveland locals voted for each attraction/ meal via facebook and twitter for the duration of our stay.  I loved this concept because it felt like a spontaneous adventure with choices that reflected the local favorites by Cleveland residents.

The Cleveland Museum of Art is also a tourist attraction that is fun and FREE!!! That’s right. .. and not only is it FREE, it also is an incredible museum with a vast variety of art that spans time periods and cultures.

The Cleveland Museum of Art has a great mix of architecture that blends the beautiful historic parts of the museum that date back to 1916 with modern design.

The museum has something that can appeal to everyone.  The art museum has a special space where kids can create in a hands on environment.  This spaces allows families to play and design their own art.

There are also 10 interactive exhibits in the Gallery One that mix the old with the new.

The Museum has the works of many famous artists such as Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso,  Salvador Dali and Vincent Van Gogh.

I could have spent hours at the museum but we had a lot of ground to cover in a limited time.  The art displayed in the museum is very diverse which makes a visit enjoyable for any visitor’s preferences.

I know my kids would have loved the room that was filled with weapons used to fight in ancient times.

A trip to the Cleveland Museum of Art isn’t complete until you go outside and pose with “The Thinker” by Auguste Rodin.

You need the take in the panoramic view because Wade Park located behind the Art Museum is absolutely beautiful!

After I struck my pose, I had to get a pic with the other bloggers who were with me.

I’m joined by Columbus blogger, Nick from  “Breakfast with Nick” and  Pittsburgh blogger, Heidi from “The Steel Trap.”

I would highly recommend a visit to the Cleveland Museum of Art and I see why the locals are so proud of this museum.
