An Airboat ride has been on my adventure list for a while. I always pictured my 1st airboat ride going through the Everglades. Little did I know that my 1st airboat ride would be on one of the Great Lakes, specifically Lake Erie. I first found out about Air1Airboats during a media trip to Sandusky. I was immediately intrigued because I knew that I would be back in the area a few months later.
Our family took the last ride of the season before the airboat would be prepped for the winter ice fishing tours.
The airboat fan is pretty loud but you are given headphones to use during your ride.
Our Airboat ride was safe and also a lot of fun! Our favorite part was when we went through the lily pads.
Our captain, Tony, did a great job of providing a 30-40 minute tour that was fun and informative about the area.
On the tour we also rode by beautiful waterfront homes.
We also could see several of the rides at Cedar Point.
It’s almost impossible to not smile while riding in an airboat. It was so much fun!

It looks like so much fun that I’m adding ice fishing charter from an airboat with Tony on my list of adventures that I want to try in the future.
