Did you go get your free scoop of Elana’s Blueberry Pie Ice Cream last Wednesday?
If you stopped by and donated $1 or $5, you were part of raising 25,000 for Cones for the Cure during the first week of the campaign! You can still stop by Graeter’s from now until September 16th to make a donation.
Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, Lexington and Louisville Graeter’s locations have begun The Cure Starts Now and its mission to find the “homerun” cure for all cancers by focusing on pediatric brain cancer.
“It started with just one child. It started with just one heart. Today, The Cure Starts Now (501c3 Federal Non-Profit) is one of the only cancer foundations dedicated to a “homerun” cure for all cancers, starting first with one of the most deadly and difficult cancers: pediatric brain cancer. Many experts believe that the lessons we learn from fighting pediatric cancer may in fact provide us the critical first step in winning the battle against all forms of cancer, both pediatric and adult.
The Cure Starts Now’s mission is one that knows no boundaries and stops at no borders. It is an international effort of families, friends, businesses and even strangers, united in the desire to cure cancer, one child at a time. And it all started with one child, but today the inspiration is carried with us all.”
You can learn more about Cones for the Cure from their website.
I’ve been given a Cones for the Cure prize pack to giveaway to one lucky winner that includes Graeter’s gift card, Notes left behind book, candy and more.
Disclosure: I was given a prize pack for promotion and giveaway purposes. All opinions are my own.
