Eden Park Segway Tour

My husband and I joined the Food Hussy and her husband for our second tour with Segway of Cincinnati.

Over the summer we went on their Riverfront Segway Tour which was a great way to tour downtown Cincinnati.

The Eden Park Tour really appealed to me because the park is so beautiful. It also has lots of hills and history which is a great combination for a Segway tour.

Our tour met near the restroom facility and started by an overview of the tour and a demo of how to use the Segway safely.

My husband and I felt like pros because we had already taken a tour before.

Tour participants got to familiarize themselves on the Segways for a few minutes while the rest of the group waited their turn to get their Segway.

After everyone felt comfortable, we began our tour which stops at 14 points of interest throughout the park.

We started by traveling around the Mirror Lake and then learned more about a former water reservoir.

Next, we traveled to the gazebo which is an iconic symbol of the Cincinnati Parks. It also has two other interesting stories detailing it’s former purpose and a famous crime that happened there.  ( I don’t want to give away all of the tour secrets and the stories are way more interesting in person.)

We traveled toward the Krohn Conservatory and first stopped by the Water Works Pumping Building known as Station No. 7. with a few interesting stories.

The Krohn Conservatory is another iconic attraction in Cincinnati. They do an annual butterfly show that is so much fun to attend.

We got another chance to freestyle on our Segways in the back of the Krohn Conservatory parking lot.

Our next stop was the Twin Lakes Overlook which is a popular spot for wedding and other special occasion pictures.

Afterwards, we visited Liberty Gardens which had a lot of inspiring quotes.

We learned about the Water Tower and then we got to ride our Segway all over the sidewalks and nearby trail near Presidential Grove.

There is a tree planted in honor of every president. An interesting side note is that the tree in honor of President Nixon has been infested with bugs several times and even had to be replanted.

One of my favorite things about this tour was that we got to ride the Segways around in the dark.

We got another great view of the city at the Donald A. Spencer Overlook. We stopped at one more spot and then made our way back to where we started.

We really LOVED our Eden Park Segway tour. It was so much fun to take on hills and to get to ride at night. I would highly recommend it for tourist and locals alike.  You learn a lot about the park and get a greater appreciation for why Cincinnati is such an incredible city.
