So what is The Lantern Fest?
The Lantern Fest is an opportunity for thousands of revelers to join together as a community and create an unforgettable spectacle of light. After an afternoon of live music, dancing, and s’mores, when the sun sets and the time is just right, we light the sky with lanterns representing our highest hopes, deepest regrets, and fondest dreams.
Historically lanterns were used to symbolize good fortune, request favorable weather, or celebrate the life of a loved one. At Lantern Fest, you could be with us to turn over a new leaf, or just to capture some likes on Instagram. Families and friends can dance to music, roast marshmallows, and munch on snacks provided by local vendors, all before watching the lanterns float away in an unforgettable release.
Attending for the 1st time?
Here are a few tips before you go.
5. Carpool if possible because the venue for the event is charging $5 a car.
6. Dress in layers so that you don’t get cold when the sun goes down.
The Lantern Pass ranges from $25-$50 depending on when you register.
With your Lantern Pass, you will receive a wristband granting you entrance to the event, a lantern, a marker, a lighter, and a s’mores kit.
***NOTE: Each adult needs to register with their own Lantern Pass. Kids 3 and under are free! Kids ages 4 to 12 will need to register with a “$7 kids pass”, which is good for entrance to the event as well as a small gift. ***
You can register for tickets here.
