Spring Grove Cemetery is the 2nd oldest cemetery in the United States and offers beautiful scenic views and history at every corner.

The cemetery is also an arboretum that hosts a variety of trees, plant life, and small lakes.

The cemetery dates back to 1845. Our family took the Civil War tour on Memorial Day and learned so much about the lives of the people who were buried here.

I love to walk onto the little island using the stone bridge. There is usually a swan in view on the pond nearby.

While you are walking the grounds you will notice some giant trees along the way.

I stopped to hug this one so that it would be easier to scale how large its trunk was.
