On our way to Washington, D.C. on a family vacation, we took the longer, scenic route through the mountains. We discovered a beautiful resort along the way that had both history and mystery nestled in the hills of West Virginia. The Greenbrier Hotel, located in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, started from the popularity of the sulphur springs that were discovered there in 1778.
Cincinnati has so much history and as a native to the area, it can be easy to take that history for granted. I’ve really enjoyed taking various tours around the city because it’s opened my eyes to all of the details that I’ve overlooked as a local.
A few weeks ago I was invited to attend a behind the scenes tour to with other Cincinnati instagramers. The purpose of the tour was to show us how Union Terminal is deteriorating and why it’s so important to save this icon of our city.
This building is absolutely gorgeous inside and out.
Spring Grove Cemetery is the 2nd oldest cemetery in the United States and offers beautiful scenic views and history at every corner. The cemetery is also an arboretum which hosts a variety of trees, plant life and small lakes.
