I am one of those people who LOVE to travel but LOATHE to pack for it. You would think that I would be better at it by now but I still struggle with overpacking. I have found that there are several items that are essential each time that I travel and I think that you will find useful too.
InStyler TULIP Auto Curler – Seriously, this is the one item responsible for my good hair days. It can curl my thick, long, hair in only 15 minutes. ( I know because I timed it) You can read my review here. Seriously, worth every penny!
Waterproof Camera – An underwater camera is essential for getting great pics by the water without the worry of messing up your phone.
I received my GoPro Camera as a Christmas gift and I, unfortunately, lost it on the beach in Daytona a few months later.
I did not want to pay the big price again so I purchased the SJCAM SJ4000 WiFi Action Camera FHD 1080P 12MP a few months later. I loved the price, viewing screen on the back, app, and picture quality.
Here is a picture that I took with the SJCAM SJ4000 underwater camera. You can’t beat the price at under $90!
Secret Scarf by Tammi– Secret Scarf by Tammi was one of our recent Travel Workshop sponsors. The scarves are super cute and also have a secret pocket that allows you to store your passport and money without detection. A great gift at under $25.
JORD Wood Watch – This watch is a combination of art and accessory. Every time I wear this watch it gets noticed and complimented. It’s a great gift for someone who wants something more unique and appreciates a custom gift.
BANDI Wear – Large Pocketed Belt – This is perfect for when you want handsfree options but also want your phone close by. I’ve worn my BANDI when I wanted to take pictures with my phone on the beach but I didn’t have pockets, when I go hiking and also when I’ve gone ziplining. The large pocket belt fits my Iphone 6+ securely along with any credit/ID cards.
Sweatybands Athletic Headbands– I use these headbands to work out in but I also use them for everyday wear as well. The best part is that they don’t slip. I personally like patterned headbands because they can go with a lot of clothing combinations. Use this link for a discount.
Columbia Montlake Backpack – This backpack has been a lifesaver. It has saved me fees for luggage that weighs too much because of all of its compartments and pockets. It also has a special compartment for laptops.
The zipper at the top makes it easy to store items that you need to get to often as a carryon. You can even use compress the bag to store under the seat in front of you on an airplane making it your “personal item.” This bag is with me whenever I fly.
I hope you’ve found these travel essentials useful. They are what I use often when I travel which is why I can recommend them without hesitation. They have been tried and tested and passed the test.
