Daytona Beach, Florida has lots of dining options for every taste bud.
I was introduced to several Daytona Beach restaurants that I would highly recommend.
I’m sharing more about the best places to eat in Daytona Beach, Florida during your next visit.
Sweet Stop at Donnie’s Donuts
200 E Granada Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL
I went inside the donut shop to check it out and couldn’t resist trying one of their vintage fried donuts in the name of research.
Donnie’s donuts are made fresh daily and they offer many creative combinations to choose from. The French toast donut lived up to the name.
They are also known for their maple bacon donut. My tip would be to go with a group and buy a few different types to share. That way you can sample more of their flavors.
Donnie’s Donuts also serves fair trade organic coffee and locally roasted cold brew.
Lunch by the Water at Caribbean Jack’s
721 Ballough Rd, Daytona Beach, FL
The location at Caribbean Jack’s is wonderful for dining inside or out.
The outdoor deck on the water has nice sheltered glider booths and a waterfront fire pit.
Don’t worry, you don’t rock too far if you are concerned about motion sickness while eating.
There is an onsite marina where you can park your boat if traveling by water.
I ordered the Caribbean Fish Tacos. The Caribbean slaw, and the black bean and mango salsa, were a nice touch. Fish tacos were the perfect menu item to start off my visit.
Dinner Time at Oyster Pub Sports Bar and Grill
555 Seabreeze Blvd, Daytona Beach, FL
Sports fans will love the 45+ TVs while eating incredible oysters at “Daytona’s largest oyster bar.”
I think these oysters will make a fan out of you, even if you don’t traditionally like oysters.
You MUST get the Chargrilled Oysters (1 dozen oysters grilled on an open flame, smothered with The Oyster Pub’s secret sauce.)
The secret sauce and the way it was prepared made it memorable.
Their oysters are seriously wonderful! The oysters are super fresh, and they’ve got the papers for the oysters to prove it!
There are plenty of menu items to satisfy every taste bud. I ordered the salmon, and another person at my table ordered a bacon burger and we traded bites.
I can vouch that you can’t go wrong with either option.
Breakfast with a view at Crabby Joe’s Deck and Grill
(Currently closed due to Hurricane Ian and reopening TBD)
3701 S Atlantic Ave, Daytona Beach Shores, FL
Crabby Joe’s is a local favorite, located on a fishing pier that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
You can dine inside or on the deck.
Dining guests can also watch the fishermen walk by with their catches of the day while they eat.
If you dine outside, you might see a few paddle boarders trying to catch a few waves.
I had a hard time deciding what to order because everything sounded good.
We ended up sharing two breakfast entrees. The Crab Cake Benedict is served with cheese grits and the French Toast Delight, is made with a crispy fried cornflake crust.
Great food with a view that satisfied my sweet and savory craving!
Chocolate Tour and Tasting at Angell & Phelps Chocolate Factory
154 S Beach St, Daytona Beach, FL
Angell & Phelps Chocolate Factory isn’t technically a restaurant but it’s still a local stop that you will want to make.
Satisfy your sweet tooth with a treat at this gem located in historic downtown Daytona.
Take a free guided 20-minute factory tour
(Monday – Saturday at 10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm)
The tour is informative but the best part is tasting the homemade samples at the end. You’ll crave a candy sample even more after watching all the candy-making in front of you.
The tour takes you back to the gift shop where you can sample even more candy before you buy. You’ll find creative candy souvenirs that may… or may not make it home.
Dinner Stop with Racing History and a View at Racing’s North Turn
4511 S Atlantic Ave, Ponce Inlet, FL
Nearby you’ll want to make sure that you take a moment to check out the historical markers before you walk inside the restaurant.
They share the story of the restaurant’s namesake.
This was THE location where beach racing began!
The inside of the restaurant is filled with racing memorabilia that took place on Ponce Inlet.
I loved looking at all of the old photographs that were taken during that historic time period.
From 1948-1958 the Grand National Race took place at this location near the side Racing’s North Turn each year.
There is a covered bar with live music and a large deck with ocean views.
There are lots of great seafood options on the menu along with pasta and burger options as well.
Several people at my table ordered a side of Bacon-Cabbage Hash to try something new.
I ordered the Super Charged Shrimp tacos with sweet potato fries along with a specialty drink that came inside a creative coconut.
Their shrimp had a great kick and I LOVE spicy foods.
The souvenir coconut was a fun gift to bring back to my kids to use as a bank, as suggested by the sticker on the top.
Final Breakfast at the Hotel at 1888 at the Plaza Resort and Spa
(Unfortunately, due to damage caused by Hurricane Ian on September 30, 2022, The Plaza Spa and Resort will be closed until 2025)

The 1888 restaurant is located inside the Plaza Resort for breakfast.
I realize that this restaurant might not be as known by the locals. It’s still worth mentioning because I really enjoyed their pancakes.
The restaurant was conveniently located inside our hotel.
I ordered the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes ( Lemon Curd, Whipped Cream.)
I’ve never tried that flavor on pancakes before and it was wonderful!
I’m dreaming of them again as I stare at the picture because lemon curd was so good!
1888 offers lunch and dinner as well.
Ice Cream on the Beach
While you enjoy the beach, be on the lookout for the ice cream man if you are craving a sweet treat.
