A few months ago, my friend Michelle shared with you her story of adopting her son Micah, who has Down Syndrome. She was helping get the word out about National Down Syndrome Day.
Well, today I am helping get the word out for how you can help this amazing family rebuild their lives.
Ray and Michelle Arnold lost their home in a house fire on May 5th,2014. Not only does the family have to rebuild after losing all personal and household items, but they have a $5,000 medical insurance deductible that must be paid. Ray suffered third degree burns and is currently recovering from skin graft surgery. The Arnold Family has spent their lives in ministry serving others. Michelle is a Social Worker at Turkeyfoot Middle School helping children and families in need. Ray is the youth pastor at Christ Chapel.
I’m sure you can only imagine the overwhelming feelings that this family is experiencing as they are faced with purchasing everything again along with the stress of taking care of the daily medical needs for Ray, whose burn injuries have to be dressed several times a day.
How you can get involved
There are a few ways that you can help the Arnold family rebuild.
*****Attend Faith Family night at the Florence Freedom Baseball game on Friday, May 30th.

-This event is to raise funds to help the Arnolds rebuild their lives. There will be a “split the pot” raffle and a silent auction. Attendees may purchase tickets for the raffle, and the proceeds will be split between the Arnolds and the raffle winner.
-Donations are being accepted for the raffle and the silent auction.
-There will be a van at the game to collect any items donated for the family from Target.
Former Bengal, Doug Pelfry will be giving his testimony on the field right after the game before an amazing firework display by Rozzi Fireworks.
