Has trapeze been on your list for a while?
I’ve tried the trapeze on 3 different occasions with the Cincinnati Circus Company and I want to give you the opportunity to join me.
The trapeze rig is set up at Burnet Woods in Cincinnati during the warmer months and it’s such a fun way to get out of your comfort zone.
I recently brought my friend Stephanie from “A Little Moore” to try trapeze for the 1st time. It’s been on her list for a while and she loved it so much that she wants to go again.
1. It’s fun
2. I get a taste of circus life for a few hours
3. It’s challenging. As you progress, you can learn more tricks.
4. It’s an opportunity to be brave
5. Fear is conquered when you leave the platform. (The ladder climb is seriously the scariest part.)
6. It’s safe. You are harnessed in and the staff is excellent at not only making sure you have a safe experience, but also a positive one.
7. It’s something you can tell your grandkids about.
That got me thinking…..
I bet there are more of you out there that would love to try the trapeze …..if given the opportunity.
The first time that I tried trapeze I invited a group of ladies to join me. Some of them I didn’t even know that well.
What’s fun about sharing experiences outside of your comfort zone is that it instantly creates a bond with those who shared it with you.
Step out of Your Comfort Zone, Make New Friends and Build Community and Create a Memory

One of the perks of having kids is that you get a chance to relive some of your favorite childhood experiences.
I’ve always enjoyed the circus and once again Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus did not disappoint.

I think watching the 80’s/90’s tv show “Circus of the Stars” planted the seed in my mind that anyone could try being a circus star. So I tried trapeze with friends…..
………and then we tried trapeze as a family.
So then the logic was that if your family is a circus already …might as well learn a few skills to impress the neighbors.

I have always had some kind of bucket list growing up. Not necessarily always written down, but it seems the more I try something outside my comfort zone, the more I want to add something new to my “to do” adventure list. So far, one my favorite bucket list items was trying the trapeze. We had noticed a trapeze rig at one of the popular tourist spots in town. After I saw it, I knew I had to try it.
