I’m approaching fitness differently in my late 40s, and I recently was offered the opportunity to explore the benefits of rebounding.
I’ve seen a lot of the rebounder workouts in my social media algorithms, but I was honestly a bit apprehensive.
Post-childbirth, 20+ years later, I still fear sneezing, coughing, and uncontrollable laughing.
If you know, you know.
I’ve even taken trampoline fitness classes in the past, but I couldn’t get through them without multiple trips to the bathroom: pre-class, during the class, and post-class.
Jumping on a bungee trampoline/ rebounder seemed against all logic, given my history.

I was provided with this product for review purposes. All opinions are my own. This article contains affiliate links.
When I was invited to check out the FED Fitness Bcan Series BT4 Soft Land Pro Adult Bungee Trampoline with Bungees Pre-Assembled, I thought my experience couldn’t be worse than what I’d previously experienced during trampoline fitness classes.
I was also concerned about my knees. I had surgery for a torn meniscus a few years back, and it’s been a long road back to “normal.”
I went into it as an experiment, knowing that I would listen to my body if something felt off.

I started my rebounder experiment by moving from small bounces to bigger bounces. I kept my feet planted on the trampoline without jumping to test how my knees would hold up.
That was a good way to start, and after several times, I was able to test small jumps on the rebounder.
As far as bathroom breaks go, those were almost immediate when I first started bouncing, and then, over time, I noticed I had more endurance to bounce without breaks.
Rebounding actually helps improve the muscles in your pelvic floor over time.

The more times I jumped, the higher my bounces got and the more movements I felt comfortable trying and there is a handle for balance if I needed it.
I work out in my basement, and I appreciate that the rebounder is quiet when I bounce, and there’s an attachment if I want to keep my phone close by.
I also noticed that my legs and stomach were a little firmer over time too.

Less Set Up
The rebounder arrived 90% pre-assembled, with the frame and bungee cords already fully installed, which saved set-up time.
The T-handlebar can be positioned to 5 different levels and it can adjust to 5 different heights ranging from 28 inches to 36 inches.

The additional stability is a nice feature for seniors too.
The rebounder offers 6 resistance levels. The package includes both 8 mm and 9 mm bungee cords.
You can scan the QR code or refer to the user manual to replace the cords or adjust the resistance.
There are also two pairs of grip socks included, but I prefer to jump barefoot.
The rebounder has a 92–95% latex core with 3× ultimate elongation, resisting deformation, withstanding 100,000 stretches without breaking.
Weight capacity for the 40″ trampoline is 400 lb dynamic / 500 lb static, which is more inclusive for a variety of fitness levels and sizes.
The BCAN 40″ offers 684 square inches of usable jumping surface, excluding the skirt, and 60 cords in two sizes for easier tension customization and replacement.

Health benefits of regularly bouncing on a rebounder fitness trampoline
What I’ve enjoyed about rebounding is that it’s a great way to reset my mindset and body.
Here are some additional health benefits of regularly rebounding:
- Boost Balance
- Coordination
- Heart health
- Low-impact bounce
- Reduces inflamation
- Detoxes the body
- Increases lymphatic flow
- Helps reduce cellulite
- Strengthens skeletal system
- Increases bone mass
- Reduces body fat
- Increases blood flow to the brain
- Reduces eye fatigue from screens
- Better sleep
- Improves pelvic floor muscles
More Impact in Less Time
Did you know that in 1980 NASA created a government-funded study searching for ways to keep astronauts healthy so they wouldn’t lose additional bone density and muscle mass while in space?
They discovered that rebounding for 10 minutes is equal to 30 minutes of running and is easier on your joints than running.
Exercises to Try on Your Rebounder
The mini trampoline doesn’t come with exercise plans so I recommend searching for rebounder videos on YouTube.
I’ve really enjoyed the workouts offered by the Jump & Jacked rebounder fitness channel.
She offers a range of themed workouts and workout lengths: 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, and 45 minutes, which helps reduce excuses.
I started with her shorter, beginner-friendly workouts and then gradually added longer workouts.

Are You Ready to Try Rebounding for Your Health?
I’m really glad that I was open to trying rebounding. It’s something that I can continue to do for decades to come.
