There are lots of adventures that I take on without a second thought. Cooking is an adventure that has always intimidated me… especially cooking seafood. I recently attended a blogger event by Kroger that showed us how Kroger is making seafood WAY easier to prepare.
I never know how long to cook it.
Or what to put it with.
And I hate cleaning up messy pans.
I learned that I can’t use those excuses anymore because Kroger is helping make the process really simple with ‘Easy for you Seafood”
First, you select your seafood.
Next, you select your spices and decide if you want them to add lemon and butter.
They will seal your seafood in an oven safe pouch and all you have to do is pop it in the oven for dinner.
You just follow the directions on the bag and set the tempature according to your oven and seafood selection.
I decided to make simple fish tacos from cod.
For the topping I made this simple Aioli with a can of Red Gold tomatoes “Lime juice and cilantro” and 1/2 cup of Mayonaise.
You just drain the can, mix and chill for 30 minutes.
Assemble the fish taco with a flour tortilla, cod, aioli and cilantro on top.
You can pan fry the fish for extra crisp or just assemble the taco as is.
You can get more recipe ideas from the Kroger and Red Gold Tomatoes websites.
Disclosure: I was given the products for review purposes. All opinions are my own.
Can the fish be frozen in the foil packet?
Thanks for sharing! I think it helps take the intimidation out of preparing fish.
I just wanted to say we tried the Easy for you haddock fish tonight with rosemary and garlic and it was the best fish I have ever tasted:0) I loved the ease of having everything already to go and just having to put it in the oven. We tried the Fish last Friday night at the wine tasting at our Kroger at Chambers Road and liked it so much that we bought it!
