Sometimes it’s nice to see the city from a different perspective. Incline Public House in Cincinnati offers it’s patrons a different perspective with its incredible views.

Our date night took us to a part of town that we don’t go to very often, which made it feel more like an adventure.

My husband and I got to take in beautiful city views from the location of a former incline. The incline opened in 1874 and now hosts a restaurant at the top.
Our date night inspiration came from Cincy Whimsy when she did her mission for Cincinnati USA. After seeing the pics of the views and her food, I knew we had to add it to our date night list. We were not disappointed!

When we arrived at Incline Public House, there was a little wait for the outdoor deck.

It’s not bad to wait for a table because there is a park that is steps away with benches nearby.
We enjoyed relaxing for a bit watching the city before our name was called for the outdoor patio.
Incline Public House does have indoor seating too but the outdoor view was worth the wait.

Our table offered beautiful views of Cincinnati.

Our menu showed us images of when the Incline was in operation. I wish I would have been able to witness the incline in it’s glory days. It was in operation for 69 years before it suffered a breakdown that was too expensive to repair in July of 1943.
For our meal, I chose the Incline Public House Pastrami, which had slaw, tomato, cheddar, bbq and rye. It was the perfect choice! Incline Public House makes their own pastrami along with their other menu items from scratch. All of the sandwiches come with fries and spicy house pickles.

Dan chose the House Burger which is topped with bacon, cheddar, greens, crispy bacon and bbq. He opted to substitute the fries for onion rings for $1 more.
He said it was one of the best burgers that he had all summer. They cure the bacon in house and everything was so fresh.
We shared the Grippos crusted macaroni and cheese. Grippos is a local potato chip company that combines sweet and salty with their bbq chips. The outcome of crumbled potato chips with macaroni was incredible!
Incline Public House has such great food and their amazing view of the city guarantees an enjoyable night out.

What a view! I had never heard of this restaurant, we will definitely have to try it out. My husband is a super pastrami lover, but allergic to turkey, so anytime I can find REAL pastrami, he’s in. LOL.
