An Outdoor Table With a View at Rhein Haus
707 US-2 unit f, Leavenworth, WA
A Bavarian-inspired restaurant with great views of the lights downtown and fire tables!
Normally I would not want to eat outside when it’s cold but everything is more magical with fire and lights.
We were very comfortable outside during our meal. My boys didn’t even wear a jacket in true teenager fashion.
There was an indoor seating option but I’m so glad that we sat outside.
You will definitely want to start with the Haus Pretzel as an appetizer.
The pretzel comes with one sauce and you can purchase additional ones to try. The options are mustard, beer-cheese fondue, horseradish cream cheese Obatzda, and chocolate ganache. I recommend ordering a few sauces to try!
During our visit, we tried the Habanero cheddar wurst, Lamb and beef Doner, and the Rhein Brat served with fries with curry ketchup
Save room for the Pearl sugar waffle made with apricot compote, vanilla ice cream, and candied pecans.
Enjoy an Outdoor Meal at Munchen Haus Bavarian Grill and Beer Garden
(509) 548-1158
709 Front Street Leavenworth, WA
“Where the Northwest Meets Bavaria,” Munchen Haus is an outdoor eatery and beer garden with a relaxed atmosphere and great food.
This is a great budget-friendly option for families. You order your food and then find an outdoor table or get carryout.
There is a HUGE assortment of toppings for your sausage. The hardest part is narrowing down your choices from all of the unique mustards and different kinds of ketchup.
I really liked “Hans’ Jalapeño & Cheddar.” There are veggie wurst options and pretzels, soups, and sides available too.
Munchen Haus has plenty of craft beer and wine options to-go along with non-alcoholic drink options.

Find Your Favorite Bavarian Food at Andreas Keller Restaurant
829 Front Street, Leavenworth, WA
Located below street level, Andreas Keller serves traditional, homemade Bavarian food and imported draft beers.
Taking pride in their food and “heavy helpings of Gemütlichkeit,” aka friendliness and good cheer.
There is plenty of seating inside and during our visit we opted to wait for a cozy booth.
We started with a Giant pretzel with cheese and local IPA.
If you have dietary limitations you’ll appreciate that they have an extensive Gluten Free menu.
My boys tried the Wiener schnitzel and my husband tried the Bavarian Beef goulash made with cubes of tender beef in a hearty brown sauce, served with homemade spätzle noodles.
Their Schnitzel Cordon Bleu is their most popular breaded pork cutlet. It’s stuffed with smoked pork, Swiss cheese, and a hint of our homemade mustard. Then it’s topped with our delicious homemade cream sauce and served with Spätzle noodles.
Andreas Keller is also known for their desserts but we were so full from dinner that we didn’t have any room. So plan ahead if you have a sweet tooth.
