I originally found out about the One Night, One Craft D.I.Y. session from my friend Paige from Cincy Whimsy. Her site has been a great resource to help me find out about unique adventures downtown.
I was so excited that the Cleveland locals voted for us to visit the Cleveland Museum of Art during my media trip with Positively Cleveland. I absolutely LOVE art! Cleveland locals voted for each attraction/ meal via facebook and twitter for the duration of our stay. I loved this concept because it felt like a spontaneous adventure with choices that reflected the local favorites by Cleveland residents.
The Cleveland Museum of Art is also a tourist attraction that is fun and FREE!!! That’s right. .. and not only is it FREE, it also is an incredible museum with a vast variety of art that spans time periods and cultures.
I enjoyed another great year of incredible art at Art Prize in Grand Rapids, Michigan this year.
I just got back from a trip to Art Prize in Grand Rapids, Michigan. If you have never heard of Art Prize, I feel compelled to passionately tell you why I LOVE it so much and why you should add it to your roadtrip list.
I attended the opening night of an event that combines two of my favorite things; art and food. The “Art of Food” exhibit is in it’s 7th year at the Carnegie Visual and Performing Arts Center.
Do you ever go on adventures solo? I decided to take advantage of my husband and boys spending the afternoon watching football to sneak away for a few hours to explore the Taft Museum of Art. I understand that we won’t always want to try the same things all the time. One of my friends couldn’t make it due to working later so I went to my adventure destination anyway.
Art prize was my favorite event that I attended while living in Grand Rapids, Michigan and is an event that I feel everyone should check out at least once. It’s the world’s largest art competition, and it completely takes over the city.
My kids are pretty used to trying new things all time, so I didn’t receive too much resistance for checking out Shakespeare in the Park in our community. I did come prepared and had the boys bring some of their favorite Star Wars books in case they didn’t like it and got bored.
