Adventures to Cross off your Holiday Bucket List
1. Drive around and look at Christmas lights while you listen to Christmas music ( Pack a thermos of hot chocolate for the drive) Check out our visit to Clifton Mill)
2. Visit a live nativity (ChristmasTown)
3. Bake Christmas cookies or decorate sugar cookies
4. Go see the miniature trains (The Duke Energy Holiday Train Display is one of our favorites )
5. Visit your local zoo (we love going to the Festival of Lights at the Cincinnati Zoo)
6. Get a picture with Santa
7. Find a place with over-the-top holiday cheer (like this place)
8. Go Christmas caroling or go watch carolers
9. Do a random act of kindness
(It could be as simple as giving away candy canes -get more Random Acts of Kindness ideas here)
10. Donate to a non-profit in need (Drop off non-perishables at a local food bank, Angel Tree, make homemade holiday cards)
11. Watch a Christmas play or your favorite holiday movies ( “A Christmas Carol” at Playhouse in the Park or Elf, A Christmas Story, It’s a Wonderful Life, Christmas Vacation, Home Alone, White Christmas)
12. Purchase or make an ornament for this year
13. Elf on a shelf ( or make your own tradition to look forward to each year)
14. Go downtown
15. Share a meal with someone who needs a friend around the holidays
16. Take a picture with a holiday namesake or town
(like Santa Claus, Indiana)
17. Write a letter to Santa
18. Organize or go to an ugly Christmas sweater party
19. Attend a tree lighting ceremony
20. Go ice skating
21. Send Christmas cards or gifts to someone in the military
22. Watch a performance of “The Nutcracker”
23. Make a gingerbread house
24. Create a fun advent calendar
25. Attend a Christmas/Christmas Eve service
