Fall is a season that I wish I could stretch out a for a little longer. It always seems to go by WAY too fast and there is so much to do in a short window of time!
I’m sharing some of my favorite things about fall that I look forward to each year.

1. Leaves Changing Colors
“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.” -Albert Camus. I love watching the leaves transform in the fall.
Each leaf you discover is so unique and beautiful in its own way if you take the time to stop to appreciate it. I love it when familiar places are made new by the vibrant color transformation.
2. Farm Visits That Include A Giant Bouncing Pillow
A visit to a farm is a bit of a right of passage during the fall.
My kids always enjoy the activities and games, petting the farm animals, and the quest to find the perfect pumpkin during the hayride to the pumpkin patch… and if the farm has warm cider donuts that’s even better!
And if the farm has a giant jumping pillow, I’m definitely joining my kids because it’s hard to bounce without laughing and smiling….It’s so fun to feel like a kid again for a brief moment and enjoy making memories together as a family.

3. Scenic Drives
I love any excuse to travel and fall is the perfect time to slow down and take the scenic route during a road trip.
Whether it’s for a few hours as a day trip or a long weekend visit, a fall color tour recharges me and reminds me to take time to enjoy the view.
4. Scenic Hikes
I love to go hiking as often as possible. I really enjoy the fresh air and the crunch of leaves under my feet in the fall.
Hikes in the fall tend to be the perfect temperature when you dress in layers because they are not too hot not too cold, A few of my favorite places to hike are Red River Gorge, Hocking Hills, and the Smoky Mountains.
5. Fall Flavors
Caramel apples, Pumpkin and spice everything, flavored coffees, and warm cider donuts. I love any excuse to eat great food and fall is such a wonderful time of year to enjoy fall seasonal flavors.
