I love any excuse for a sweet treat. That’s why I was really excited when I received an invitation to a tasting to try a classic Frisch’s Big Boy dessert created with a holiday twist, along with an opening night viewing of “The Nutcracker” by the Cincinnati Ballet.
This is the first time that another flavor has been offered since it’s debut in 1970. If you are a hot fudge cake purist, you will be happy to know that the original hot fudge cake will still be available during this time.
If you love peppermint, you are going to be REALLY excited about Frisch’s first-ever holiday edition of it’s classic dessert. You can’t go wrong with peppermint ice cream, chocolate, hot fudge, whip cream, and peppermint pieces….with a cherry on top of course!
And just in case you needed a little more convincing, check out the creation process in slow mo by Wanna Bite.
Now that I REALLY have your attention….
You need to know that you can find the Peppermint Hot Fudge Cake at over 95 Frisch’s locations in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana BUT it will only be around until Feb. 7th.
You can also enjoy a choice of 5 family value dinners for $7.99. (Carved Turkey, Country Fried Chicken, Roast Beef or Meatloaf served with mashed potatoes, gravy, and green beans.
So what’s the connection with the Cincinnati Ballet?
Frisch’s Big Boy has been the primary sponsor of the Cincinnati Ballet’s performance of “The Nutcracker” since 1974. They have been one of the longest examples of corporate sponsorship in American arts history, which is kind of a big deal. Partnerships like this, not only back the value of the arts, but continue to support creative ventures moving forward.
If you have never been to the ballet before, “The Nutcracker” is a great introduction. The performance offers a great mix of humor and along with incredible elegance demonstrating amazing athleticism that will appeal to all ages. This is always a holiday favorite and a beloved tradition for so many in Cincinnati and beyond.
Don’t miss your chance to watch a performance of
“The Nutcracker” by the Cincinnati Ballet
presented by Frisch’s Big Boy December 9-18.
Check out the Frisch’s Big Boy website to find a location near you.
Thanks again to Frisch’s Big Boy for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
