Benefits of Staying at the Plaza Resort & Spa in Daytona Beach

During my visit to Daytona Beach, we stayed at the Plaza Resort & Spa. This was my 1st visit to Daytona Beach and the area exceeded my expectations.

A Warm Welcome

You’ll receive a $12 credit toward beverages and two large complimentary bottles of premium bottled water in your room. That’s a pretty great way to make a first impression.

Onsite Parking

You can valet or self-park in the secure parking area.

Beachside Fun & Onsite Activities!

The Plaza Resort offers great views and onsite activities for guests. The heated pool, life-size games, basketball court, cozy fire pits, use of paddleboards, kayaks, boogie boards, bicycles, and scheduled activities during the high season give guests lots of options to choose their own adventure when it comes to leisure.

If you remember images of Spring Break partygoers from MTV way back in the day, you will discover a different imagery. In fact, alcohol and glass are not allowed on the beach at all.

Location, Location, Location!

The hotel is located 0.8 miles from the Daytona Beach Boardwalk. You are close enough to the action and far enough to enjoy a quiet evening if you want.

Depending on your vacation style, you could park once and just enjoy your stay….unless you want to drive on the beach.

Traffic Free Beach

The Plaza Resort is located on 600 ft. of private beach. Resort guests get the best of both worlds because the area that you enter to drive onto the beach is located next to the resort.

If you have smaller children, you can rest easier knowing that you won’t have to worry about your child getting to close to a vehicle.

Gorgeous Sunrises!

Walks on the beach during golden hour are my favorite. Some of my favorite pictures  were during sunrise during my stay.

Dining Options

The Plaza Resort and Spa 2

During my visit, I enjoyed breakfast onsite at 1888 located inside the hotel. I ordered the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes ( Lemon Curd, Whipped Cream.) They were WONDERFUL and also something that I had never tried before. I’m dreaming of them again as I stare at the picture. The lemon curd was so good! The 1888 offers a lunch and dinner as well. The Resort also has 2 other restaurants on site.

The Plaza Resort is also within walking distance of several restaurants. I would highly suggest checking out the Oyster Pub Sports Pub and Grill. Their Chargrilled Oysters are AMAZING and a great option for someone who typically doesn’t order oysters. You can find even more dining suggestions here.

Spa Options

The Plaza Resort offers over 30 services in their 15,000-square-foot European Spa that help guests feel pampered from head to toe.

The Room

My room had a great view of the beach from the balcony. It also came with a microwave, mini fridge, and a safe.

Special Occasions

The Plaza Resort has 40,000 sq. ft of indoor and outdoor event space which creates lots of options for any meeting or special occasion.

[…] My last meal while visiting Daytona Beach was at 1888 for breakfast. I realize that this restaurant might not be as known by the locals but I thought it was worth mentioning because I really enjoyed their pancakes. The restaurant was conveniently located inside our hotel. […]
