I love to discover hidden dining gems when I visit a city that I can’t replicate anywhere else. Cincinnati has so many wonderful places to eat, but I wanted to share with you a few that have something unique to offer from views to menu items.
My visit to Hamilton, Ohio really left an impression on me. It’s a city that’s in the midst of a comeback.
Northern Michigan has so much to offer for a family vacation destination. My family visited Northern Michigan for a weekend getaway that allowed us to reunite with family that we live far away from. The drive from Cincinnati is mostly expressway on I-75 North and our final destination, Boyne Mountain Resort ,was about 7 hours away.

I recently had the opportunity to try Gold Star Chili’s newest menu item, “The Big Coney.”
So what is it?
I honestly didn’t know much about Marietta, Ohio prior to my visit, but I discovered that the area has a lot to offer visitors. Marietta is positioned along the Ohio River which provides lots of opportunity for outdoor adventure.
My husband and I were recently invited to visit the newly remodeled Skyline Chili in Newport, KY. The whole entire restaurant has been updated on the inside with everything from light fixtures to seating. I love any excuse to get out of cooking while enjoying my favorite menu items, so this was an easy invitation to accept.
I have to admit that my visit to Fort Wayne, Indiana really surprised me. I had no idea that the downtown had so much to offer. Growing up, we would visit my cousins who lived about 30 minutes from downtown Fort Wayne, but we typically only visited the mall which left me with an impression from 30+ years ago that there wasn’t much to do there. Well Fort Wayne, you got the last laugh and my apology.
