I love when a meal also doubles as an experience. I discovered that Bonnybrook Farms has a Chuck Wagon dinner ride and I knew that it was the perfect place for my mission from Cincinnati USA of finding a unique gem to eat at in the Cincinnati area.
When you arrive on the property at 5pm, you are given a variety of activities to leisurely enjoy at your own pace until the dinner bell rings.
There are giant slingshots, clodhopper golf, and horse stables to visit.
It’s harder than it looks to get the ball from the slingshot into the wagon.
Play a Round of Clodhopper Golf
Clodhopper golf is the country version of mini-golf.
Fishing at Bonnybrook Farm
You can bring your own fishing poles and bait and try your luck by the pond.
Bonnybrook Farms also has a very nice stable with a variety of beautiful horses.
Fun Things for Kids to Do at Bonnybrook Farm
For younger kids, there is a sandbox, miniature playhouses, swings, and a giant tube slide.
Technically you don’t have to be a kid to go on the tube slide.
I would know because I decided to try it out.
Meal for the Chuck Wagon Dinner
The dinner is served buffet-style in the beautiful barn.
We chose the pulled pork along with potato salad, coleslaw, and macaroni. There were also Nathan’s hot dogs and grilled chicken available too.
The food was very good! The pulled pork was very lean and the coleslaw was great!
After dinner was over, we had a few minutes of leisure time before it was time for our wagon ride.
Tractor Hayride
You arrive at an area near the creek that is set up for a scenic campfire.
Dessert for the Chuck Wagon Dinner
Upon arrival, you can enjoy delicious cobbler, cookies, and s’mores by the fire.
There is also coffee, water, and soft drinks available.
My kids were unable to attend that evening, so I invited the grandparents instead.
The Chuck Wagon dinner ride at Bonnybrook Farm is enjoyable at any age and is a great experience to share with friends or family.
