We had a great time with family and friends at Kirkwood Adventure Park.
Our experience at Kirkwood Adventure Park truly exceeded our expectations because there are so many fun things to do.
The environment invites you to both relax and play with lots of outdoor fun on the beautiful 212-acre property.
Aquaglide Obstacle Course at Kirkwood Adventure Park
The biggest draw for guests is the Aquaglide Obstacle Course on the small lake.
The inflatable obstacle course is on the water with several slides and challenges that are fun for guests of all ages.
*Kids under 6 need to be accompanied by an adult on the water obstacle course.
All Guests Are Required to Wear Lifejackets
Life jackets are provided for all ages and required for guests to wear anytime they enter the water, regardless of their swim ability.
They have a variety of sizes of lifejackets for kids as young as infants.
Life jackets ARE REQUIRED for EVERYONE, ANYTIME you are in the water (even if it’s just your feet.)
You’ll appreciate the lifejackets after spending a long time on the water and on the inflatable obstacle course because you get tired easily on those challenges.
Water Breaks from the Lake
Kirkwood Adventure Park will have (2) 45-minute water break times where everyone is required to get out of the water at 12 pm and 3 pm for safety checks and to give the lifeguards a break. At 5:15 there is a 30 minute break.
The water breaks are a great time to eat a meal, enjoy one of the outdoor games, or walk on the Canopy Trail.
Lounge Chairs Provided for Guests
You don’t have to worry about bringing chairs to the beach because they are provided. There are plenty of lounge chairs with large umbrellas if you need a break from the sun.
*No towels are provided.
If you prefer to sit in the shade you’ll find lots of lounge chairs with individual umbrellas to help keep you out of the direct sun on a warm day.
One of my friends put her life jacket on the back of her lounge chair to dry in between swims which was a great idea.
There is no better way to enjoy the warm weather than by cooling off in a lake.
There is an outdoor shower where you can rinse off your body and feet.
Enjoy a Scenic Walk on the Exciting Canopy Trail
Walk along the pine trees across suspension bridges on the Canopy Trail. The Canopy Trail has several suspended bridges and platforms.
There is an attendant who makes sure that there aren’t too many guests on the trail at one time.
The Canopy Trail adds to the thrilling outdoor adventures onsite.
There isn’t a zip line at Kirkwood Adventure Park but the Canopy Trail still provides wonderful views that you would typically experience while ziplining.
Grab a Snack or Meal at Mama’s Kitchen
You’ll find plenty of menu items at the cafe that appeal to a range of preferences for a reasonable price.
No outside food or drink is permitted.
The exceptions include: snack sized items, bottled water, baby food and formula, and items essential to an individual’s health and medical wellness.
If you forgot anything there are sunscreen, merchandise, and towels available for purchase too.
There is plenty of seating for guests on the patio with umbrellas covering the tables.
Or you can enjoy your snacks by the beach on your lounge chair.
Meeting Room for Groups
Groups can schedule their meal for a specific time in the air-conditioned meeting room.
Meals for groups can be ordered ahead of time for a specific time window to help reduce wait time in line. Make sure you contact Kirkwood in advance if you are organizing a group.
