Jewelry Stamping at The Silver Diva

I love when I get opportunities to be creative. It can be hard to schedule time to create and my recent adventure of jewelry stamping at The Silver Diva was so much fun!

Jewelry Stamping at The Silver Diva

It was my first time ever stamping jewelry and I didn’t really know what to expect.

The process is actually very simple. The hard part is narrowing down the options. My friend and I came in to create bracelets that evening.

I had a general idea of what I wanted my bracelet to say but there were still so many decisions to make.  The bracelets come in a few sizes. I opted for the smaller width.

Then, we had to choose a font style.

Next, we had to determine the size of the font.

Once we were back at the table, we tried practicing on a few scrap pieces.

It’s great that you can practice as much as you like before trying your skills on your final piece.

I wanted my bracelet to be as perfect as possible so I was relieved with the option to practice until I felt comfortable.  You can get an idea of how hard to hit the metal on your practice swings. I found that my stamping looked the best after three taps. I also recommend planning your spacing of the letters before starting on your finished product. If you have a longer sentence, it’s a good idea to mark your spaces before you hammer the letters.

I absolutely LOVED the finished product! Keep in mind that the imperfection IS the perfection!

If you are really adventurous, you can be like my friend Liz and just go for it without practicing on scrap metal.

After we finished our bracelets we looked around at the other types of items that you can create.
