So why is Rudolph Campground and R.V. Park so popular?
Santa Claus, Indiana is a popular destination for families. The big draw to the area is Holiday World, which is an affordable, family-friendly theme park that offers great rides with a great value. With each admission, you can enjoy unlimited free soft drinks and sunscreen.
Rudolph Campground and R.V. Park is also popular for so many more reasons. Guests who are planning a visit to the area love that it’s located next to Holiday World and offers free shuttles from the campground to the theme park.
Accommodations
Cabin Rentals
Let’s start with the cabins. Our cabin exceeded my expectations!
During our visit, we stayed at one of Rudolph’s Christmas Cabins. They have a master bedroom with a King sized bed, large loft with a queen mattress and 4 twin-size mattresses, 3 flat screen TVs, electric fireplace, gas grill, fire ring, and a very large covered deck. These cabins sleep up to 8 people and they pack a lot into a small space!
I traveled with 3 boys that weekend and I really enjoyed having a room to myself while they were upstairs watching tv at night after a long day of playing. There was plenty of drawer space for clothing and personal items and lots of windows for natural light in my bedroom.
Make sure that you check the website for a detailed list of what is supplied before you go and make sure that you bring blankets and towels because those are not supplied in your cabin.
The boys had two sleeping areas to choose from upstairs. One with a queen size bed and a tv and the other had twin size beds and overlooked the living room. I bet you can guess which area they slept in.
Kitchen/ Living Area
The kitchen has all of the basics that you would need for creating and serving a meal with dishes, utensils, and pots and pans included.
Deck
The deck on the side of the cabin is very large with a picnic table and lounge chairs. Another treat for me was just sitting outside on the deck that night looking at the stars.
Camper Rentals
Other Sleeping Options
If you prefer other sleeping options, you can rent a camper onsite, bring your own RV, or tent camp.
The atmosphere at the campground is extremely family friendly and very clean.
Activites Onsite
Guests will enjoy lots of free activities on site -Blitzen Bay Pool and Baby Blitzen Pool, hiking trails, 2 basketball courts, 2 playgrounds, beach volleyball and mini golf.
Extra Fun
For an additional fee, you can make your water adventure a little more extreme at Santa’s SplashDown WaterPark, mine for gems, or rent kayaks or rowboats to use on the lake.
Waterslides
I can vouch that the inflatable slide is SO MUCH FUN! I’m glad that I paid for the additional option because the kids and I really enjoyed riding the water slides.
Lake Fun
There is a small lake with row boats and paddle boats with a volleyball court nearby.
Dining Options
If you want a treat or don’t feel like cooking, you will find plenty of options at Blitzen Kitchen. My crew enjoyed the pizza followed by 30+ soft serve flavor options for dessert. We also ended up purchasing additional breakfast items from the camp store that were reasonably priced. The camp store is conveniently connected to Blitzen Kitchen.
Golf Cart Culture
Golf cars are the preferred transportation of choice at the campground and many guests decorate them for day or night.
The golf car rentals are really popular so you will want to reserve one ahead of time if possible.
