During a recent visit to the Sandusky area, we found out about freighters that were frozen in Lake Erie near the bay in Huron, Ohio.
We immediately knew that we wanted to capture some shots of the freighters before and during sunrise. The first challenge was finding a close location to view them from.
Our first location involved a large fence and huge, giant, mounds of snow.
But….that didn’t stop us from taking pictures.
Our second location got even better.
Our final vantage point gave even better views along with the sunrise in site.
Thanks to my fellow travel bloggers (Far Flung Travels, Shalee Wanders, The Traveling Praters and Happiness is a hot pierogi) for joining me on this early morning adventure.
The views were worth the early wake up.
This was so much fun! I was inspired to make it a point to crawl out of bed several times a month to capture some shots around my home but so far my snooze button has won the battle. 😉
