I was given the opportunity to review Thred Up. Thred Up is an online consignment store. The process is pretty simple to navigate and is organized in categories. You can even be a bit more specific with sizes and the items that you are looking for.
I decided to look for items for my oldest son. He was in need of a few more pairs of jeans. If you have boys, you know my dilemma because most of my son’s jeans end up with holes in the knees. Here is an example of his damage on his old jeans.
I found a pair on Thred Up that would be his size and then I also selected a nice pair of plaid shorts for him.
The package came quickly in the mail.
I had my son try on the jeans and unfortunately they were a little short. Thred up does have a return policy where you can return items within 30 days of purchase date, but you’re obligated to pay the return shipping fee.
The pair of plaid shorts did fit him. Both of the items were in great shape as described on the site.
Thred up is a great way to shop specifically for your kids by size and description if you don’t want the hassle of shopping at stores. The prices vary on the items. My two items came to a total of $17.98 and I had a code for free shipping.

To sell clothes
When I got my purchases in the mail I also received a bag that I could put clothes in that I wanted to sell. I haven’t tried the selling aspect yet, but I do think it’s a great way to make money off of clothes that my kids have grown out of.
