I was given the opportunity to review Thred Up. Thred Up is an online consignment store. The process is pretty simple to navigate and is organized in categories. You can even be a bit more specific with sizes and the items that you are looking for.
I decided to look for items for my oldest son. He was in need of a few more pairs of jeans. If you have boys, you know my dilemma because most of my son’s jeans end up with holes in the knees. Here is an example of his damage on his old jeans.
I found a pair on Thred Up that would be his size and then I also selected a nice pair of plaid shorts for him.
The package came quickly in the mail.
I had my son try on the jeans and unfortunately they were a little short. Thred up does have a return policy where you can return items within 30 days of purchase date, but you’re obligated to pay the return shipping fee.
The pair of plaid shorts did fit him. Both of the items were in great shape as described on the site.
Thred up is a great way to shop specifically for your kids by size and description if you don’t want the hassle of shopping at stores. The prices vary on the items. My two items came to a total of $17.98 and I had a code for free shipping.
$2.99 for the 1st item
$0.99 for each additional item
Free Shipping over $50
To sell clothes
When I got my purchases in the mail I also received a bag that I could put clothes in that I wanted to sell. I haven’t tried the selling aspect yet, but I do think it’s a great way to make money off of clothes that my kids have grown out of.
Use this discount code MAY10 to get 10% off of your purchase.
It’s valid for new customers only and can’t be combined with any other offer. It expires May 30.
If you don’t enjoy shopping or live in the country, you will can appreciate the quality name brand clothes for lower prices without the hassle of shopping at multiple stores for the item your looking for.
For more information check out the Thred Up website.
Disclosure: I was given a credit that included shipping for review purposes. All opinions are my own.
Have you tried Thred Up before to buy or sell before? I would love to hear what your experience was like.

Thank you so much for pointing that out.I have no idea how I missed that error!
I just noticed you called “ThredUP” “Shred up” in the first two sentences. Thought you might want to change it. I love Thredup. I’ve purchased lots through them and have had hassle free returns.
ThredUP is now offering 35% off entire purchase + FREE SHIPPING to all new customers. Use code KPC15 through 6/30/13.
