Carew Tower is a Cincinnati icon. The tower was built in 1930 and is the 2nd tallest building in Cincinnati. Carew Tower boasts an art deco design and incredible view of the city from the observation deck.
Before you go up the elevators to the observation deck make sure you have cash.
Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for kids. There is a 5/3 ATM around the corner from the elevators if you need to get cash. There is also a gift shop at the top too in case you want to buy a souvenir.
Guests take the elevator up to the 45th floor and then can chose to ride another elevator that can only hold 4 people or go up 4 flights of stairs. If you ride the elevator, you will still need to go up one more flight of stairs to get to the observation deck.
The view from 49th floor at the top is totally worth it!
The Carew Tower observation deck provides an 360 degree view of the Cincinnati area. You get great views of Paul Brown Stadium, the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge (blue bridge), Great American Tower (the one that looks like a crown), Union Terminal, the hillsides of Kentucky along with Newport on the Levee and Fountain Square.
Carew Tower Observation Deck offers a great perspective of the city for tourists and locals alike. I grew up in the area and don’t remember going to the Observation Deck very often. I love rediscovering my city with my kids. There is so much that I’m still learning about Cincinnati.

The Fountain Square parking garage would be your most convenient place to go. Carew Tower is across the street from Fountain Square. Finding metered parking can be hit or miss.

Hey! You were in my hometown! It really is a great view. The scariest thing for us with small kids was that the railing is not very tall and so I was constantly terrified that one of them was going to fall off
