Elf-cation Adventure at Hocking Hills

Elf-cation Adventure

Up to this point, our family has not added an Elf on the Shelf to share our Holiday adventures. We decided to see if an Elf would be a good fit with our family by taking my friend Stephanie’s (from A Little Moore) Elf “Sparkles” on an adventure with our family to Hocking Hills.

Sparkles rode in the back with the boys. She was a good mediator to make sure that they got along during the car ride.

The first hike we took Sparkles on was to see Old Man’s Cave and the surrounding trails nearby.

Sparkles wasn’t quite ready to climb to the top of the Ash Cave Fire Tower with us but she did enjoy the views at Ash Cave.

Sparkles really enjoyed our cabin which included some time by the fire pit and recalling the fun adventures from our trip after breakfast.

Our hike on the high trail at Conkle’s Hollow took us along the edge of the cliffs. We were relieved that Sparkles didn’t get too close to the edge.

We hope Sparkles had mammouth fun with our family and her new friend.

I decided that it was pretty nice to have another girl on the trip with me.

Sparkles was returned to her family and I would say that our family is definitely open to the idea of adopting an Elf on the Shelf to join our family moving forward.

Have you ever taken your elf on an Elf-cation?

(It’s fun to see how people react when you are taking pictures)

Do you already have an Elf on the Shelf?

My friend Stephanie from A Little Moore has created an awesome Elf on the Shelf Calendar for the Month of December. Make sure that you check it out!
