One of the biggest complaints about making cake balls is that they are a bit time consuming. I decided to take a step out of the equation by making wafer balls instead. The taste is wonderful and you don’t have to bake a cake or wait for it to cool, just use wafers that are easy to crunch. (The hardest part is not sampling a few wafers along the way) This 3 ingredient recipe is easy and still tastes great!
Step 1 Select a package of Voortman wafers. I chose strawberry.
Step 2. Crunch the wafers in a bowl.
Step 3. Set aside a small bowl of crushed wafers taken from the big bowl.
Step 4. Add room temperature cream cheese to the crushed wafers and create 1 inch balls.
Step 5. Place the ball on a lined baking sheet and place in the freezer for 1 hour.
Step 6. Insert one treat stick per ball
Step 7. Melt vanilla icing in the microwave
Step 8. Dip ball into icing and then into small bowl with crushed wafers
Step 9 Allow balls to dry
Step 10 Enjoy!
Want to create a beach display?
1 pack of Vanilla wafer cookies
A small object to place in the bottom of the bucket ( I used a small square plastic container)
A bowl that fits in the top of sand pail
