What You Need To Know Before Your First Visit to Dart Rush

I’m sharing why you will want to check out Dart Rush Nerf Arena and tips for your first visit.

What is Dart Rush?

It is a Nerf Arena located at Newport on the Levee across the river from Cincinnati, Ohio.

It’s the first Nerf Arena of its kind in the Cincinnati Metro and the beautiful part of this set up is that it is played in a controlled space instead of finding random Nerf bullets all over your home.

Who is it for?

Ages 6 and up….and adults have just as much fun as the kids!

How long does it last?

A session lasts an hour but you can also book 1.5-2 hr sessions as well.

Tips For Your First Visit to Dart Rush

Make a Reservation

Secure your preferred time and day by making a reservation in advance.

Popular times fill up quickly but they do accept walk-ups if there is space available.

Wear or Bring Socks

You play without shoes and socks are required to play.

Wear Clothing that You Feel Comfortable Bending Over In

You will spend a lot of time squatting down and picking up ammunition off the ground and you will not want to waste time readjusting your clothing.

You will SWEAT!

Burning calories has never been so fun! I highly recommend wearing short sleeves and clothing that breathes well.

Where to Put Your Stuff

You can put your shoes in a cubby or rent a locker for $1.

Gear to Play

Ammunition, vests, and safety glasses are supplied by the Nerf Arena.

You can bring your own Nerf guns. The Nerf gun must be labeled beforehand and make sure that you leave your ammunition at home.

Rental Options

If you don’t have your own nerf guns with you, you can rent one instead.

6-year-olds – choose rentals from tiers 1-3 and kids ages 10 and up can rent any of the tier options.

Ammunition

Depending on your gun selection you will be using either foam darts or balls

Age Restrictions

Ages 6 and up to play.

Observation Area

There is a viewing window and a few tables where you can wait before your session.

Don’t Sit This One Out!

This interactive game is designed to get families and friends of all ages to create memories together.

This is not an adventure that is just for the kids!

Don’t Be Intimidated

I’ll admit that I tend to be a little wimpy when it comes to the idea of being shot at, especially by skilled middle and high schoolers.

I’m happy to report that it didn’t get hurt and that I was able to take out a lot of the teenagers.

You get so caught up in the game and the fun that age truly doesn’t matter.

And it’s just foam ammunition so you will be fine, I promise!

Be Honest

A big part of the fun hinges on honesty because if you get hit once, you are out and have to go to the dugout.

Don’t worry, you will still be able to jump back in the game, just don’t be a cheater.

Stay Hydrated

You will work up a sweat so if you are playing for an extended period of time you might want to bring a water bottle or plan on purchasing water while you are there.
