When I first saw images of the slides at Slick City on social media, they immediately caught my attention because they looked so fun!
It definitely lived up to the hype and offers a great experience for families of all ages.
We visited the Slick City Action Park in Springdale, OH, located in the Cincinnati metro, for our first visit.

Thanks again to Slick City Action Park for providing our admission for review purposes. All opinions are my own.
Enjoy Dry Slides Without the Static Shock
Slick City provides riders with all the thrills of a water park but without the water on dry slides.
Another perk is that you don’t get a static shock that typically happens after going down a plastic slide at an outdoor playground.
I’ll admit that one of my first concerns before my first visit was that I hate being static shocked and try to avoid it at all costs.

Each rider lies on their stomach on a mat, going down face-first. The mats have handles and are easy to carry to the top of the slides. And the best bonus is that no static shocks are felt when you reach the bottom.
Unlike a water park, you can use the same mat for every slide.

I’d recommend keeping your head up a bit so that it doesn’t smush into the crash mat upon landing on the more extreme slides.

When you go on the Royal Slush slide, be ready for the drop onto the crash pad in the middle.

Our strategy was to try each slide once before going back to enjoy our favorites.
My favorite slides were the ones with the biggest airtime before crashing into the mat.

120 Minutes VS. 90 Minutes?
If you’re debating between 2-hour and 90-minute tickets, I recommend the 2-hour ones.
Our 2-hour time block felt like it went by really fast, and it’s really nice to have screen-free time that’s really active.

Speaking of active, you’ll be climbing up the stairs before you go down each slide or get your heart pumping on the courts, so dress accordingly.
You’ll be warm really fast! I recommend dry-wicking athletic clothes.

You Must Purchase Their City Socks
All participants must purchase “City Socks” for $4.99 to wear while using the action park.
The socks can be reused for a future visit, and they do not allow grip socks from other entertainment centers.

Do You Have to Pay to Watch?
Spectators don’t need to pay to enter Slick City, but are still required to fill out a waiver.

I’d recommend joining instead of observing because it brings childlike JOY.

Seating Areas for Parents/ Guardians
Each attraction has ample seating areas for parents and guardians nearby to supervise their kids.
Fair warning, there’s also an arcade kids may request money for, but honestly, there are plenty of other fun things to do.

How Old Do You Need to Be for the Slides?
Slide riders must be at least 4 years old. There’s a designated area where younger kids ages 5 and under can play if you have a family with a range of ages.

Designated Areas for Ages 5 and Under at Slick City
Slick City Action Park offers a Junior Jungle and Web Crawler for kids 5 and under.

Kids can challenge themselves and gain confidence on the Junior Jungle structure with mini slides and climbing obstacles.

This area, designated for younger kids, is gated and has padded flooring.
The Web Crawler consists of a giant net that kids can crawl inside, and it also has swings located around the perimeter of the structure.

Locker Rentals at Slick City
Locker rentals are $6 for 3 hours, $7 for 4 hours, $8 for 5 hours, or $10 for 1 day.
*There is an overstay fee of $1 per hour.

You may notice clothes and shoes left by guests throughout the action park. If you choose not to secure your belongings in a locker, just be aware of the risks.
I’d also recommend athletic pants with secure pockets if you plan on keeping your phone close by.

Sport Air Court
The Sports Air Court area is very popular for guests who want a break from the slides.

Participants can play basketball or dodgeball on the courts made of a springy air-cushioned floor.

Cafe at Slick City
There is plenty of seating in the cafe area if you need a rest from the slides. It’s easy to work up an appetite and become really thirsty.

Outside food and drinks aren’t allowed at Slick City, but the cafe has a selection of hot food, snacks, and a variety of drinks.

When is the Best Time to Visit Slick City Action Park?
The least crowded days are Monday through Thursday. The busiest days are on weekends, Friday through Sunday.

“Fun”, “Thrill”, and “Deluxe” birthday packages are 120 minutes long, and all include Citysocks for 10 participants, table covering, party utensils, party host, set up, and clean up. Tips for party hosts aren’t required but are appreciated and typically range from $10-$30.
The 2-hour party allows for both play time and time at the party table or room. It’s recommended that you arrive 15 minutes before your party time to check in and get settled. All guests will need waivers, which can be completed online in advance.
Package prices differ based on food, drinks, party favors, Icee coupons, reserved table, gift for the birthday kid, and if the birthday parents slide for free. Party add-ons are available if you have additional guests. Party tables can seat up to 16 guests.
You can bring your own decorations and birthday dessert and/or veggie trays, but outside food and drinks are an additional $50 fee.
The typical timeline for the 2-hour party is to have guests play for 45-60 minutes, eat and celebrate for 20-30 minutes, and then go play again for the last 30 minutes.

You don’t want to miss out on this adventure. I highly encourage you to try this experience WITH your kids instead of just observing them.
