What to Expect at Trick or Treats at Kings Island This Year

Kings Island’s Tricks And Treats is set to be the area’s favorite event for family-friendly Halloween activities and fall fun.

The fall festival is designed to help you make special memories and enjoy the fall season with your loved ones.

Guests can expect AMAZING food, activities, entertainment, seasonal merchandise, and more!

When is Tricks And Treats at Kings Island?

“Tricks and Treats” is on Saturdays & Sundays, Sept. 22 – Nov. 3, 2024, from 11 AM- 6 PM on Saturdays and 11 AM – 7 PM on Sundays.

*”Tricks and Treats” is included with your admission ticket. You can find the lowest price on Kings Island tickets here.

*Please note Planet Snoopy is closed on Fridays and will close at 7 PM on Saturdays and Sundays during Halloween Haunt.

Tricks And Treats Fall Fest offers all the playful fun of a traditional fall festival with the bonus of incredible amusement park rides.

Families will find that there are a lot of additional activities to enjoy beyond the rides.

Here are some of the activities that kids can enjoy:

  • Tricks and Treat Costume Contest
  • Halloween Crafts (Ages 12 and under) ( Pumpkin Decorating, Halloween Bracelets, Halloween Coloring)

You can watch as talented pumpkin artisans decorate incredible masterpieces.

There are designated Trick-or-Treating for kids with individually packaged treats throughout Planet Snoopy.

Make sure you pick up a Tricks and Treats Fall Fest park map or scan the image with your phone near the entrance so you don’t miss any treat or treat stations.

Kids can play games where everyone is the winner at the Ghoulish Game Zone located in Planet Snoopy for a nominal fee.

Children ages 12 and under are encouraged to dress up in their favorite costumes during their visit to the park.

The Kings Island Costume Council will be on the lookout for “new members” to join their “houses” as they gather their teams for the big costume contest!

What are the Costume Guidelines for Tricks and Treats Fall Fest?

Costumes are encouraged for guests ages 12 and under. If you want to wear a costume, make sure it’s family-friendly.

Keep your weapons and gore at home. Costumes that conceal identity are prohibited.

FYI – Kings Island reserves the right to deny admission to, or remove, any person wearing attire that is inappropriate or that could detract from the experience of other guests at the park.

You can still enjoy live entertainment throughout the park. It’s recommended to arrive 15-30 minutes early before the showtime.

Are the Rides at Kings Island Still Open During Tricks and Treats?

Yes! You can still enjoy all of your favorite rides (except for water attractions) during your visit to the park.

*Take Note of Early Ride Closures

Planet Snoopy Rides will be closed all Fridays AND starting at 7PM during Haunt events on Saturdays.

Early Ride Time for Season Pass Holders

Park early ride time (ERT) hours for 23 & 24 season pass holders is 10:30 on Saturday & Sunday only. No Early Ride Times on Fridays.

Early Ride Time rides through the end of October are on Banshee, Cargo Loco, Sol Spin, Flying Ace Aerial Chase, and Woodstock Gliders.

Season Pass checks will be conducted at ride entrances this year not on International Street.

Guests can unlock the hidden secrets of cursed locations using Grave Digger’s Lantern.

“No-Boo” Necklace Option If You Want to Stay for Halloween Haunt

The No-Boo Necklace is for any guest hesitant to experience Halloween Haunt.

The monsters may still interact with the wearer of a No-Boo necklace, but won’t attempt to scare them. A No-Boo necklace can be purchased at the park.

*Note that “No Boo” necklaces DON’T work INSIDE Halloween Haunt attractions.

*If you have younger children, you may want to leave the park before 6 PM on Saturdays when the monsters for Haunt begin to walk throughout the park.

What Ages is Haunt at Kings Island Recommended for?

Haunt is recommended for ages 13 and older due to its mature themes and attractions.

What Time Does Haunt Start at Kings Island?

Haunt activities are on select nights from September 20 – November 2, 2024.

Your Kings Island Admission ticket includes Fall Fest and Haunt.

*There is no reentry to the park after 6 PM on Fridays, Saturdays and select Sundays Haunt dates listed above.

Kings Island Haunt

Chaperone Policy at Kings Island

The chaperone policy at Kings Island is to help keep all guests as safe as possible.

Under this policy, all guests at Kings Island ages 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old to be admitted to, or remain in, the park after 4PM local time until to close. 

The chaperone must present a valid government-issued photo identification with a date of birth at ticket entry.

One chaperone may accompany no more than (10) guests ages 15 or younger per day.

In addition, the chaperone must accompany their party during entry, remain inside the park during their visit, and be available by phone throughout their stay.

Guests ages 15 years old or younger who are found inside the park unaccompanied by a chaperone will be subject to ejection. This chaperone requirement applies to all Kings Island ticket and season pass holders.

Haunt at Kings Island

Bag Policy for Haunt at Kings Island

The bag policy at Kings Island begins at 4 PM.

During Halloween Haunt, re-entry is not permitted for guests who leave the park after 6:00 PM.

Clear plastic bags smaller than 12” x 12” x 6” as well as non-clear wristlets or clutches no larger than 5”x 8”x 2” are allowed after 4:00 PM for Halloween Haunt.

All bags are subject to search before entry.
